With My Support As Your Coach You'll Make Healthy Lifestyle Changes!

If you'll bring the desire to make changes, I'll bring my 25 years of experience and knowledge of working in the wellness field to the coaching setting. Working one-on-one with you in a partnership, I'll guide you and walk beside you providing encouragement, support and accountability. Together we'll address the day-to-day obstacles that have been preventing you from moving forward. If you're ready and committed to making changes, together we can make it happen. I will help take you from where you are now to where you want to be.

We'll explore different courses of action and come up with solutions to overcome the barriers that have been in your way. This will help you to make health behavior changes like never before and enable you to experience a healthier and more full life.

Why Should You Consider Asking Me to be Your Coach?

Drawing on my professional experience in the wellness field and my rich life experiences will give me insight into your challenges. We'll work together as a team based on honesty, trust and respect. You'll be able to see through all the fog and get to the heart of the matter and stay focused on doing what it takes to make the changes that you want to make. Your sense of hope will increase as you overcome some of the hurdles that have been in your path. You'll feel personally empowered to take the necessary actions to accomplish your goals and reach your God-given potential. And last, but perhaps most importantly, youll appreciate my caring, positive, encouraging and supportive nature.

What is Coaching?

Coaches assist people to identify specific goals and then reach those goals faster and with ease. We provide our client with the tools, perspective and structure to accomplish more through a process of accountability. We help you reframe beliefs and create a point of focus to reflect upon. Coaching is a consistent, on going relationship where the coach stays with the client to help implement new skills, changes and goals. Lifestyle, in a coaching context, addresses the whole person, including physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being. While we might initially be focused on a physical health issue, other dimensions of your life will also most likely be addressed. It is through our trusting partnership that is established that you will be more focused, deliberate and hopeful as you take the necessary actions that will better enable you to achieve your desires and dreams.

How and where will the coaching occur?
Conveniently, my coaching can be done in person or over the phone so geographical boundaries are eliminated. If you live close by, we may well agree to meet in person depending on the nature of our work, and, sometimes I might walk with a client while we talk. When at all possible, the first session will be face-to-face and, if desired, I will send frequent notes of encouragement by email.

What is the format?
We will work together to choose the focus, format, and the desired outcome of your coaching. I recommend four weekly 30-40 minute coaching sessions a month, for a minimum of three months. I'll ask you to complete a questionnaire that helps me understand your current situation and challenges. Then by interacting at regular intervals throughout each month, we will be better able to set strategies, take action, and keep you moving forward.

How does coaching differ from counseling or what a close friend can do?
Coaching is not therapy. Where therapy brings understanding and awareness of the past to a client, coaching provides the support and strategy to make changes based on the awareness a client holds. Coaching concentrates primarily on the present and future, not on the past.

A supportive friend is wonderful to have in life, yet typically he/she does not hold the objectivity that a coach does. A coach is a professional who is trusted to work with you on the most important aspects of your life. A coach offers a different perspective of the truth because of the emotional distance the professional relationship offers.
